 We highly recommend that heavy duty felt pads are placed under furniture, especially pieces of furniture that are being moved constantly, for example: stools, chairs, small tables, etc. This will help minimize scratches as much as possible.

 You can start walking on your freshly finished floor 4-5 hours after the last coat of finish has been applied. We recommend that you walk with no shoes. Furniture may be moved in approximately 5-6 days when the finish is 100% cured. 

 We recommend that you do not use water, vinegar, Fabuloso, or any other cleaners that are not specifically designed for hardwood floors. Using other cleaners will damage your hardwood floors in the long run. We recommend that you clean your hardwood floors with Bona Professional Hardwood Floor Cleaner alongside Bonas microfiber cleaning pad at least twice a week; this will help clean and protect your hardwood floors. 

"Cupping" occurs whenever the wood absorbs excess moisture which causes boards to rise and concave. This can be avoided by implementing correct humidity and moisture levels to environment. When selecting wood floor, choose floor suitable for your environmental conditions. 

"Gapping" is when moisture deprivation occurs within the flooring and causes the wood to shrink. which creates spaces between boards. In order to avoid after installation, try and maintain a circulatory environment. In addition, you can also select a secure engineered floor, which are more resistant to gapping. 

This process is called "hardwood oxidation." This is the usual result when wood is exposed to a large amount of sunlight. To fix the imbalance of color you could move furniture around.
